Moving to the U.S. from Abu Dhabi in 2002 when I was ten years old, I learned firsthand how hard it can be to adjust to a brand-new country. As I worked to build my life here and become a Nurse Practitioner, I always wished I had a mentor who understood my culture to guide me through the challenges. That is exactly why I want to help the Filipino nursing community today. As someone who is fluent in both Tagalog and Bisaya, I am here to be the mentor I once needed—whether you need help adjusting to daily American life or want to take the next step to become an NP.
